Penality during night turns (Mortain 44)

I have just stated a new game with a turn scale of six hours (I'm playing Mortain 44 as the German) and I noticed that during night turns my units have their attack and defense value very reduced. In the manual I haven't found nothing about it so I would like to know how this penality works.
In your opinion is it worth to attack during those turns or it's better wait till the morning?

Maybe you've overread this (under 8.5.1.):

"Force Night Combat Proficiency
Unit Proficiencies are averaged with this value when determining Anti-Armor, Anti-Personnel, and Defense Strengths at night. This characteristic is only visible in the Editor."

And as Interdiction is less effective in poor weather and on night turns it's probably a good idea for the germans to attack in the PM turns. I took a look at the scen in the editor and the night combat proficiency for both sides is 33%, so you and the allies receive the same penalty. Let the Panzers roll and the Grenadiers advance..but note that resupply levels are reduced by 33% during night Turns. Disengagement is also easier during PM turns.

It can be better, if your opponent has air superiority, or if you have a relative advantage in your Night Combat Proficiency. It can be worse, if the opposite is true. If you have rough air parity, and equal Night Combat Proficiency, then it really makes no difference as then the playing field is level.

I hadn't noticed that. So everything is dependent from that value.
I have decided to follow ypur hint and to push as hard as I can during those turns in order to exploit the weakness of the enemy interdiction.
The problem actually is the supply level that is going down faster than I had expected.
I hope that the situation will improve in day turns.

Thanks for the fast answer!
