I have to applaud you Mr. Hunter, as there have been several brilliant games to come here in the last 6 months; this one tops my list. Not that we don't have enough ACW games out and coming out soon, but do you have any plans for one in the future? Your use of hexes, supply, stacking and the emphasis put on maneuvering/longterm planning in GoA, would appear to be a perfect fit for a huge map and the American Civil War. I am not sure if this is a plea or a question?!?!? Any insight in what your future plans are would be most welcome and thank you for Guns of August.

I hope his next game will be The Franco-Prussian War.......

In the preface of my copy of HISTORY OF THE WAR BETWEEN GERMANY AND FRANCE published in 1871 by James D. McCabe Jr., he wrote:

"None of the great struggles that have convulsed the world at various epochs of history, have been more fraught with momentous consequences than the war between Germany and France which has just come to an end."

Sounds like the makings of a good wargame to me....[:D]

1870 and 1866 won't be next but that period will be within the next 3.
