OK, so I was doing an admin move of several formations all in one massive fleet of cargoships. There are about 10 formations loaded on board before I noticed the problem and stopped. (I was using hotkeys and going fast).
I cant unload! Normally I select the unit then I can click the unload button. As you can see in the screenshot, the subformation display has switched to list mode, and not listed the passengers.
Anyone know a workaround? I'm hoping to salvage this scenario. I'm not very hopeful though..[:(]

sorry man. i will adress this issue for the next patch.  i nor any of the beta testers ever thought about putting somany passengers on a unit.

Can you make more units and transfer cargo ships?

Cargoship formations cannot do transfers while they have passengers on board.

I think my biggest cargoship group has been 4 ships.
Way too much risk such a big group for incoming air strikes, subs etc.
 
My opponent in a actual PBEM uses groups of 1-3 cargoships.
Never saw 30 indeed, not in a HQ and never in a unit.

First click next turn then see if you can disband some of the subformations in the loaded units (worth a try!).

Like I said, it was an admin move. I'm in the middle of the map fighting on two fronts and I'd just cleaned up the left hand side and was moving my force over to deal with the other enemy, miles away from him. Plus I have every one of his ports blockaded, his navy destroyed, and total air supremacy.
I'll just have to keep them bottled up while I rebuild.

Obviously its not going to happen often. But one time is enough! Also, I can just keep the the number of passenger small from now on.

Yeah no I cant click on any of the subformations, thats the problem.

What if you do: Go to this unit in the Statistics/OOB menu?

Yes, I can see some of the passengers on this screen, but can't figure out how to disband from there.
