Turn 20, March 1941

I continue my assaults in the UK. To reduce my own casualties, I upgrade to third level infantry. I am able to destroy the southern fortification but not able to capture the hex.

In the south, I land troops in Jerusalem.  I will make a grab for the Middle Eastern Oil hex. Without controlling the Suez, I do not hope to hold. But, it will hopefully divert some resources from the UK

Very bad situation now for my western forces. I lost my fortifications that has been the only
protection against the german attacks. The artillery crushed most of my units outside of Manchester.
And i lost bigger parts of my AA guns. The only effective defensive position left in the UK is Manchester self.
30 Artillery II and dozens of planes will finish it off in the coming turn and when this happens i´ll surrender.
My whole strategy was set to defend the UK and bring the russian in. It did not work. The russians can´t resist
against the whole german army, so i hope you enjoyed the AAR, since you won´t get many more reports here [;)]

Well, still not over, but I have to tell that I've certainly enjoyed this AAR. I used to read AARS in S&T and The General, and AARS were one of the things I enjoyed. I felt like I was watching an AAR of the old 3R game.

Thanks to both you and Weber!

Rick
(- plan to buy and download this game some time today).

What? The Russians should be able to eventually beat the Germans, or at least give them a very good fight. I'd imagine they'll have to start Barbarossa late because of the time it'll take to transfer units from England to Poland. Plus, can't the US still get involved and liberate England?

Russians won´t give a good fight to Germany when they don´t have a second front (England) as help
and the possibility to get Lend Lease help. This is with England and Norway in german hands possible only with high penalties.

Germany has a very mighty Luftwaffe right now and they can transfer it to the east in one or 2 turns.
British RAF doesn´t exist. Russian air units won´t be a match for the german aces.
Using strategic transfer it will also move a lot of ground troops very fast.
AND: Germany will decide when to declare war. I (the russians can´t do that before 1942).

As you see in the turn 21 thread the game continues....I hope to resist Toms attacks for a while.
Nobody of you guy´s have an idea what this means.... P A I N [:D]
