Here is the mystery plane of RHS. First it is listed under Allied planes in the game. Second the Japanese can not build it. Third Japan gets no reinforcements of this plane type. Fourth the Japanese can however convert planes to this type. Question...... HOW?[:-] I know we are going to have fun with this one.[:D][:D][:D][:D]

To help nail this one down Cid is going to need the game and version of RHS with the problem...CVO Ver 6.7862

It is one of the mysteries of hard code. I have been telling Matrix for over a year - upgrades do not work according to the official criteria. There are other - unidentified - factors involved.

This one I have not seen - but there are occasionally others like it.

The good news is that the available number is always zero for the wrong side. You actually can use planes from the "wrong" side - if you start with them in a unit - and I did that at one time for RTAF - before finding slots. [In fact, the FTAF B-10 is STILL this way - no replacements - no ability to upgrade - but serving the wrong side - on purpose] But they will never replace, nor convert to, such aircraft.

I can look at certain things if you tell me the scenario - level - and where you are looking when you see the option?

RHSCVO 7.7861 S070. All at start Level Bombers can convert to this aircraft.

Not exactly - it appears ARMY bombers can - but not Navy level bombers. Still - this is new. Will investigate.

Note, however, this is not an option - the number of planes is a constant zero. And I know from previous experience - it will stay zero. I use Allied plane slots for Axis aircraft - and I WISH it was more functional - but it isn't. So this is only a cosmetic issue - not a functional one.

Granted it is cosmetic, but I was hoping it was the use of captured allied aircraft. If you look at this planes entery in the database is it jumbled looks like it tried to put Japanese devices on an allied plane.

As far as I know, there are no "Japanese devices" - just devices - and they work on both sides. Aircraft in particular often use such devices - indeed they should do so. If we had to have separate Japanese and Allied devices, we would have a much poorer device set - in terms of aircraft and ships armament anyway. Land devices are separate so production can work.

Since it is only equipped with .30 cal Browning mg and 500 pound bombs (and APQ-13 radar) - one wonders what you consider to be a "Japanese device" in the first place? For technical reasons, CHS and RHS use stock slots whenever possible - so we didn't pick where these are at slot wise either.

? The manual says which devices are japanese and which are allied with a couple of freerider slots.

We concluded that it is best to honor the actual programming of Matrix - and then we were told we should indeed to that. Thus - device 161 is a Browning .50 cal - whatever the manual says - in stock, CHS and RHS.

This theory is almost certainly bogus: we find C-54 showing up the same way as PBJ - but C-54 has no devices whatever. So it isn't the "Japanese" devices that make it happen. And IF it was - it would show up for ALL Japanese services - not just one of them. Something else is happening here - as I have said all along (privately) to Matrix.
