Editor problems - Pre-defined units, Exp

Trying to use some predefined units and the system seems to only recognise the first digit of the number for new ones - eg I entered a new #28 in the WW2 scenario, but when I tried to use it it always took me to #2.
Also setting Exp - it won't let me set to less than 10.

When I make a bunch of similar units, I use the copy function and copy an on map unit. The nice thing about this is that you also copy the commmand structure as well which saves clicks since you do not have to assign the HQ. This is probably the fastest way to put together an army group.

I haven't seen the copy feature for units that are already on the map - only for those pre-defined. Where is it??

In editor, click the hex with the unit you want to copy. Then hit units and select the unit. Over on the right, you will see the unit info (over where the sub formations are listed. In parenthesis, there is a unit number (numbers go up to about 200 in War in Europe). Jot down the number. Now go anywhere on the map and hit units. Add units and then hit the copy button. It will ask you the number.
Alternatively, make a stack of similar units in the hex with the unit you are copying and then move them to the right spot.

Ahh....yes I've copied pre-defined units using that - didn't realise it would work with existing ones tho.........that would have solved the problems with me changing the predefined units!!

I didn't realise units could be moved either

the predefined unit # does not correspond with the unit #
keep that in mind.
you only need the predefined unit # to tell events which predefined unit your mean.
you only need the unit # for making copies in the editor.
