Hi,
Unless I am missing something, there do not appear to be any Napoleopnic tutorial scenarios. Can anybody please recommend a scenario suitable for somebody learning the game.
Thanks in anticipation.

Waterloo: try D'Erlon's Assault
NIR: try Utitza Mound
Prelude to Waterloo: Quatre Bras or Ligny (not Ligny Village) Quatre Bras is preferred...

I don't know the 1815 games, but for NIR choose one of the two Utitsa scenarios, either 14. Never too late or 17. King of the Hill and play the Polish (French). They are both quite small scenarios. I seem to remember a tutorial with one of these two scenarios, but I don't know if it was original or found on the internet.
The original NIR pdf manual had a section on called "Lean & Mean basics" which was a kind of tutorial.

Yeah Never Too Late is a great one. My first PBEM game outside of my training one back some 4 years ago. I couldn't recall the names as I don't have the games in front of me at the moment.
The Napoleon is Russia Strategy and Tactics Guide is a good resource for in depth understanding. Is this what you were talking about Leopejo?

Thanks for the advice. I have found the following sites that beginners may find useful:

Between those two links they have about 90-95% of all major known gudies out there. The phxsim site has pretty much everything that is listed on other pages across the web. Thanks to Dirk! [:D]

Oh, those pages are excellent! (and memories from years ago...)
Try the School of Soldiering for novices by a JP first, three "lessons".
When you are ready to fight the entire battle of Borodino against AI, the ianboys link is good for a strategy and tactics of that battle, but IIRC he didn't know very well the rules, or maybe he wrote it before some patches changed some rules. But otherwise it is excellent, at least against AI (and no, I wasn't referring to it, maybe I just imagined that there was a tutorial for an Utitsa scenario).
The best papers are those by Jason Cowley, but they are for the advanced user.

Thanks for your advice!
Napoleon in Russia, Utitza scenarios, 14. Never too late and 17. King of the Hill, provided a good introduction for me, accompanied by your excellent web strategy tips. The Wargamer has also got some articles on the topic (While I had some Campaign Series experience, I am new to the Battleground Series)
