I see there is a new feature in the ladder that prevents challanges against opponents more than 500 points above you.

Currentyl being at the top of the ladder I have to say this is not necessary, I don't get many challenges.
After a series of lucky games I got so many points, that noone is currently able to challenge me Although the terrible loss in my current game against tweber will bring me back to the pack soon, I think this feature still is flawed.
My proposal:

"On this ladder you can only challenge higher ranked players if you are within 500 points of them or if you are only up to 3 places behind them. This is done to protect higher ranked players from to much challenges."

and maybe don't count players on vacation.
What do you think?

I think the whole rule is not needed. Limit the number of open challenges a player can have (challenged by other players).
Or let the player decide when he want to be alone. He can then use the "on holiday" setting.
 
Looking at the many players with "on holiday" setting already it´s simply not fair to put more limits on the players
for challenging someone.

I would keep it open.

As long as its under 100 people in the ladder i would keep it open. 100+ the rules system starts working. (Okay that was an arbitary number I have no idea how many would be needed but it doesnt really work with the number of people we have now.)

but it works only one way the 500 points..  you can still challenge anybody with less points then you.

I still think it limits the number of players you can challenge too much
especially when you slide down to 800 or something after one or two defeats.
I´m not really interested in playing the new players with 0 games actually.
In most cases this would simple not be fair.
 
Player already have a protection for avoiding beeing challenged too much (holiday).
Why another ?
