Bug and pseudo-bug

Two items I keep noticing (and just as readily forget to post) are:

1. when oil is unloaded in Noumea, it can't be reloaded by a tanker. (for those times when I forget to separate a convoy before arriving in this port.)

2. can the AI be adjusted to send a damaged ship to the nearest friendly port for fire/flooding repair before sending it to homeport? Too many times a ship sinks enroute to Japan (or wherever) when I would send the ship to port to ensure fire/flooding are 0 before sending home.

Just my thoughts. Still playing!

I had the same problem some days ago. It can be reloaded.
Strange as it may seem, you just need to unload there some resources and try again...
A guirk...

You can TELL the AI to send it to nearest port by giving the ship orders, esp. by changing the home port (which is a good thing to do anyway, as the ships ofter otherwise attempt to refuel constantly). If you mean is there a switch you can set - no... nor do i think the programmers are going to make any changes.

LOL. Geez, I never would have thought of that. Thanks for the pointer. Now I can recover that 12k oil that's been bothering the beach master...

Actually, I was considering the AI when playing against the computer, not the default AI for my "side." When playing the computer, this is a serious flaw.

Probably the least of the AI's problems as far as moving stuff goes... it is pretty hopeless in doing stuff like this. After playing for a while, change the game to "head to head" and take a look at what the AI is doing... [X(] [8|] [&:] [:D]

Many players will do this and try to "straighten out" the AIs bungling. Others will just switch sides after beating the AI down, trying to recoup from the severe beating they have just inflicted on the (ex)AI's side.
