Windows VISTA and TCP/UDP connections

Has this game been thoroughly tested on VISTA?

When playing CC5 on my VISTA system I cannot connect via TCP or UDP because on Windows VISTA the connection screen doesn't exist. It's just not there when using my VISTA operating system. It's disappeared. Gone. Vanished.

So... is this an issue with CCMT or has it been addressed? Has this game been tested with VISTA? Can we most certainly connect via TCP on VISTA systems? Are you sure? This is tested and true?

I have no interest whatsoever in playing the AI. Only mulitplayer. If there's TCP connection issues (no connection screen available on VISTA) then I have absolutely no desire whatsoever in throwing $30 in the wind for this game.

Has this game been thoroughly tested on VISTA for TCP connection?

Hi Tack

Here's a screenshot of my CC5 mulitplayer screen on my Vista OS.

There's no buttons. They've vanished! So the only way I can possibly connect is through gamespy since there's no TCP option available on my Vista OS.

The buttons haven't vanished in CCMT.

As Tack said he can connect and host with VISTA.

Thank you for your feedback.

Tack, could you tell me if you had tcp connectivity issues with your CC5 on Vista originally before trying it with CCMT?

Would like to be sure it's not something unique to some Vista systems and not to others as I want to be certain it doesn't carry over to CCMT for myself.
So, did it not work in CC5 (like me), but works fine now with CCMT? Or did you not have this issue on your Vista to begin with?

Thanks

the ONLY issue i have with any CC i tried(coi/ccmt/ccmraf/ccmat/ccm5) was ccv at gamespy needed a special link to get into gaming room.

coi/ccmt have NO compatibility issues, i was tasked specifically to test these issues. i have Vista Home Premium 32bit.

on XP and Vista  CCV needed win98 compatiblity mode to run smoothly.

this tcp/udp dissapearing is weird, i will, just for u wruffy, load CCV on vista(its my lounge room, i have to get off my comfy chair, walk 20 feet) and see the results. i only used gamespy last time vista was loaded Originally on my 'own' PC (have 3 and laptop, wifes, lounge, mine and kids/wife work)

get back to ya soon.

Thanks tack. I hope you didn't pull a muscle getting out of your comfy chair to go to the lounge room. :)

Hollar back

Also Tack. YOu need to get over to the Pzt forums and sign up for the upcomming war. Stumpy, Zappi, Dima and others are there already and no army's complete without the beer division.
Once I see you're signed up at the Pzt forum then I'll clear your access to the war forum there and you can join your team.
