How to edit aircraft ranges

-I´m making some expeeriences with the pacific war scenario, but I cannot change aircraft range (or at least I didn´t learn to do this). It would be necessary to create customized aircrafts (Zeroes, Oscars, P-40s´). How I could do this?

See
step 11 in the making units tutorial. Assign the unit to a movement group and then set how the movement group moves in the land sheet of the editor.

The "Simple scenario creation 101" tutorial covers this exact topic with screenshots.

Sorry but it's still not clear for me neither ... IRL "movement" range and "attack" range are different, attack range being less than 1/2 of movement, due to armament/payloads. And I don't see how the two notions "connect" in the game...[&:]
For example I'd like to give increased range to bombers over fighters, and have range increase with tech (as it was historically). How can one do this ? They all share the same "move type", but shouldn't have equal capabilities just because of that.

This is because the movement rate is here 20 hexes and the attack range is 10 hexes.
In Transfer the planes fly the distance without return and when they attack they have to return to their home airfied (x2)

ok, but does this mean I have to create additional air movement types to have different ranges for different kind of planes or different tech levels - ie Air10, Air12, Air15 etc.. ?

There are MANY empty slots for new movement types. A bit cumbersome but wouldn't that work?

Yep I've checked, there are already Air6 to 10 available, expanding with copy function would be easy !

Why you don´t just compare the different planes in the ww2 masterset ?
Fighter I, II, III, IV.
You´ll see how Vic did it. I´m not sure, but i bet he used a modifier here.
edit: NO modifier. You have to set the movecosts per landscape type for each movement group.
You´ll see the better planes need less AP per hex -> better range.

Look here how to implement new units including movement etc.

I think for scouts i used a modifier though. So there are two ways to do this.

How did you do that Vic ? I didn't find any move modifiers anywhere, there seems to be just a list of costs per loctype or hexside and move type [&:]

@pdi,
Its the moveredux stat of an SFType. Check the scouts for an example.

Ah yes it's that one, but frankly it was hard to find !
And it's surely simpler to use this Moveredux % than to define Air1 to Air50 movetypes. Maybe you did think the same and abandoned the Air5-6 etc [;)]
Thanks [&o]

I see that we have Air6, Air10 and other Air# types of movement. But what does it exactly means. Could I create an Air20 movement, for instance? It would mean that movement would be 20?

Hmmmm...stupid question. Already understood the whole thing. Only doubt is: Air10 movement has a 10AP cost. So total movement for a unit with Air10 movement would be 10 hexes. Then range would be 5 hexes and transfer range would be 10 hexes. Is that correct?

The 10 is the range and the transfer range would be 20 in this case.
