multi selection of items in list controls

a multi selection in controls would be very helpful to assign all selected items the same value
i.e. if you add research entries and want to make them available for some peoples only you can enter -1 for the peoples which are not allowed to research them, but in order to do so now you have to single click each entry in the list. The same is also true when creating new item types and you want you to make them available only to certain peoples. Its really to tedious to have to single click each entry in the list in order to assign the new value
