Questions about unit statistics

Hi,

I looked through all of the pdf documentation included in the manuals folder of the game and couldn't find answers to these questions.

1) Units have "Attack Pts" and "Defend Pts" (on the "Vs. Classes" tab of the subformation detail screen) which vary based on opponent type. Do defend points determine how difficult a unit is to shoot (morale/kill hit) and attack points determine how hard a unit hits an opponent? Or are attack points used when the unit's stack is attacking only and defend points are used when a unit's entire stack is defending only?

2) There is a tab called "Vs. SFTypes" on the subformation detail screen. This has 2 columns labed "Attack kill chance" and "Defend kill chance". It has a row for each possible subformation type in the game and for that subformation type a modifier (ex .22x, .66x, 1.5x, etc). What exactly does this table mean? There is already a base strength given for the subformation vs various other unit types on the "Vs. Classes" tab (refer bo my question (1) above)....is this a multiplier applied to that base strength value from the "Vs. Classes" tab?

3) How many stack points are allowed without penalty being applied to the stack? Is it 50? or 100?

Thanks for your help
JJ

Hi,

1) Hit points determine how resiliant the sftype is. Attack pts are used in offensive ops and Defend pts are used in defensive ops.

2) Its the average ammount that this SFType should kill in a 10 combat rounds battle if it would only face this opponent. in attack and defensive situations. The vs Classes tabs just give the attack and defend points in 1 combat round versus different classes of sftypes.

3) 100

Kind regards,
vic

ORIGINAL: Vic

3) 100

I thought the 100 was for attacks from 1 or 2 hexes. Each subsequent hex only adds 50 making an attack from all 6 sides have a stack limit of 300.

Is this correct?

Thanks

Max - yes I think that is correct. However my question was about how many stack points can be in a DEFENSIVE stack (without suffering extra losses due to over-stacking), not the attacking stacks. That is what I think Vic meant when he said 100.

Best
JJ
