HI
Does any one know anything about this game?
Are there plans for an upgrade?
Does it work on windows XP

Boy,...I had,and probly still have this game and played the heck out of it. If memory serves me right, I think it was a DOS based game and you might have some trouble running on XP. One of the comp guru's might be able to help you on that part.
Well, I went down cellar and looked around and found it. It "is" DOS based, and I paid 24.00 for it a long time ago. As compared to SPWAW, I don't think you'll have as much fun even if you would get it running. (That's why mine is "down cellar"). If you choose to get it,...well have fun, it's not a "bad " game.

The above is what I bought and it works with several resolutions. I run it at 1600x1200 on an LCD. It also has tons of improvements. [:)]

I still have this game as well as SP 1 and SP2.
Played SP3 online for long time before SPWAW came around, it no longer ran once I got a computer with XP on it. I doubt I would play it if it did.
The code for SP3 was used to create SPWAW.
Looking back, The scale of the game was horrible, 200 yard hexes......
