Starshatter past, present and future?

I'm relatively new to Starshatter. I only discovered it nearly a year ago, and never really got into it until just recently. So after browsing the forums for a while here and at starshattermods, I can see that the community is almost non-exsistant.

My question is, is this the norm for Starshatter? Is it normal to have no feedback at all from the developer and little from the community? Do updates come out of the blue or is there really just nothing to look forward to?

I only ask because this is such a great game. Its the only space game to even attempt to be a realistic and dynamic military space combat simulation. Its far from perfect, but it has huge potential and I'd love to hear that its still a work in progress.

Hi, I run the Starshattermods.com website. [:)]

Starshatter has been "in development" for several years. The latest patch was version 5.0.2 which added Track IR support.

Starshatter:TGS is probably in its final state... developer wise. [:(]

As you indicated above, it is a great game and is very modable.

I have to agree about the pitiful participation of the Starshatter community. [:(]

It's like pulling teeth to get anyone to post on my forums with any positive or negative mod input. Heck, even when one nearly begs for mod feedback you will be lucky to get one or two responses.

On the other hand.... hundreds will download game mods. [8|]

Still, expect next to no feedback. A LOT of takers and very few active modders. [:(]

It is little wonder there are so few modders. Modding takes a lot of attention to detail, work and time. Any modder can expect very little appreciation to be verbalised.

Still, like you said... Starshatter:TGS is a great game. [:)]

It's really too bad it doesn't have a equal community of players. [:'(]

Us diehards continue to hang around though. [:D]
