Hi, I just bought HCE and started with chapter tree in the manual. I kinda figured out the I was supposed to select the "GIUK" Battleset since its was the first in the list, but why doesn't the manual mention this?

I then followed the text and should see my subs move... move where? I didn't give them any orders.....[&:]

Ok, I then found the "Show orders" menu item and read that I was supposed to "Click on the Group map on a point just north of the northeast corner of Iceland.". Why isn't this text in the pdf [&:]

And then after getting to the point I selected with out meeting any enemies I quit the game.

I'm pretty sure I'm missing something....

There's a chunk missing in the manual.  Not a real problem, the missing text is there in both the in-game help and the scenario orders. The bit on "missed contacts" explains the other problem.

Oh well, i will try the mission again.

Edit: There are some enemys but looks like they´re hard to spot...

Hi Divefreak, I opened the scenario in the editor and there are indeed some enemies. I hope I will catch them....

They are there. Just follow the instructions in the orders list as the manual is missing some info in the tutorial. I copied and pasted into a word program so I could read it as i went along.

I did the same, just tried three more times with no luck. Even tried with active sensors and another run at the surface. Nothing...

Hmm, I play thru that scenario a lot when testing game changes.  Don't be afraid to launch your A-6 Intruders from the airbase, take then to High altitude with ther radar on and run around, you'll find at least one surface ship over by Iceland.
