TE fleet not sinking

Nov-Dec 1914 notice that I CP had a ship that took 9/7 damage and was sunk. Good. Then they went thru the next engagement and the french Carnot (PD) took 7/5 damage and was not sunk. Then French Charlemagne 6/5, French 1st DD 10/4, French 3rd TR 6/2 and the last French 2nd TR 7/2. All still afloat. Not one sunk. If I am reading this wright. 7/2 means the 7 means how much damage it took and the 2 means how much damage it can take before it sinks. If that is so and the last number means how many hits it can take before it goes down. Then there is a bug that the Allied fleet cannot be sunk? If need be i can send the save file to you.

There is always someone looking for a way to come in that you don't think possible till it is to late to stop them.

When you say the next engagement, do you mean the next engagement in the same strategic phase or do you mean the next strategic phase after all the intervening land battles have taken place?
IIRC, when you see that the Carnot took 7/5 damage, that is all the damage from all the resolutions of one strategic phase, not just from the single resolution you saw in the box below the summary.

It was the same stategic phase. The example were all from the same phase and at the end I lost a DD and SUB. TE lost nothing while stastaing damage on at least 5 ships that should of been sunk that phase. [&:] I reloaded the Navy battle and it did not play out like the first one but still TE had ships that should of went down but didn't and I as the CP lost a Sub. I have not tried to play it as the TE side. So don't understand this one.

Trying to get my question answered. Is this a problem or will it not tell me when the Opposite side ships are sunk? I like the game but I hate to send a battleship out and it gets sunk by DD because the AE ships won't Sink. Could someone shed some light on this for me. Thanks

Always watch behind your lines. Someone might sneak in when you are not ready.

All ships that have taken damage exceeding their sunk rating are removed at the end of the naval phase. The damage in the print statement "Carnot 7/5" was the total of all the damage the Carnot took that naval phase, not necessarily from one single engagement.

So what you saying is that as the CP player it will not tell me if I sunk a TE Ship. It will automatic be removed. If i played a Multiplayer game it would be the same way niether player will recieve a message stating that the other player ship was sunk but by the damage screen you would know yep that ship is history. If that is right thanks for the info. I only saw my ships saying they was sunk and i know i at least put five of his down.

Always check your rear area for those enemies that snuck in when you was to busy covering the front.

No, you won't get a sunk message. But yes you do see the damage inflicted against it in the naval battle display.

You'll see that the enemy ship took 7/5 damage that strategic phase, since the damage is greater than what it can absorb it was sunk.
You won't see a message saying "sunk", but seeing more damage on the ship than it can take tells you it was sunk. (As I understand it.)

Sometimes it won't even report that your own ships are sunk when they are.
