How do the Eastern Front Scenarios compare with some of the old SSI "War in Russia" games? I just read an AAR that almost got me to buy this game. Do you have factories that affect production that can be bombed, like in the old Grigsby's games?

I played both and i like the russia 1941 scenario of AT more.
You have a flexible production, you can bomb all production in range.
Enginners can blow up bridges, build fortifications and airfields.
You can do research and let your factories produce better equipment.

You´ve read the AAR (tweber and Vic probably) and still did not buy this game ? [;)]

The Russia 41 scenario reminds me very much of WiR. Except that's it not WEGO of course.

Production can indeed be bombed, but you don't have separate factories instead things are abstracted into "cities".

The main difference with AT is that you have generic equipment rather than Panthers and Tigers etc. I was a bit dubious about this at first, but it plays great IMHO. It makes a nice change to have a simpler and smaller set of things to deal with, compared to things like WiR or WitP.

Finally, the engine does allow much larger and more complicated semi-grognard type scenarios to be built, and I am sure that these will start appearing up over time. I may even have a go at something myself when I can allocate a few months to learn the editor ;)
