Work in progress?

I've yet to buy this game. I've been playing the old CCAW and noticed the numerous scenarios it has compared to the new CAW. I see that a new patch is out with a new scenario. I have to admit the game's price is a bit much, but from what I hear the gameplay is great. Will the developers continue to work on this game and will there be additional scenarios in the future? Basically, if I buy it now will the team continue to support this game with fixes and new scenarios?

I think this question has answered itself. We've put a lot of work into this patch, even without considering the free scenario complete with mystery variants, as shown by the change list. We're not going to see a single cent directly from all that work, we've done it because we always support and improve our games, and we will continue to do so for Carriers at War. That's one reason why we're still in business after all these years.

Of course, if people who haven't bought the game yet are impressed by what's in the new patch and jump in and buy, then they get a great game and we get some money, so that's a win/win situation.

Fantastic!  I appreciate the quick response and like what I hear.  The team sounds like it's deeply involved with what it's created; something I don't see much with games these days.  I'll be getting it this weekend.  [:)]

I played the original on my Commodore 64 years ago and just purchased this one yesterday and I am enjoying it very much. The tutorials are well laid out and I actually won a marginal victory in the PH scenario.

The uploading stats to Run5 is a cool idea and hopefully it will branch out showing individual results so we can compare our scores against other armchair admirals out there.

Matrix keep up the great work!!!
