Does anybody remeber how to change resoultion in witp?

I bought the game in june/july of 04 switched it i thought to a higher one.

I have a second install witp mod chs on a nice 24"

I checked under all programs but didnt see anything

Can't. The resolution is fixed.
You can try to run it in windowed mode, like "J:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific\War in the Pacific.exe" -w

Is there a mod to make the crappy looking popup info boxes like the TF screen look any better?  They look awful on a big monitor. 

No as far as I know.
