PP gain/loss

I just whooped on Nelson (he was with a lone hvy fleet and 20 ships) captured him TOOK NO LOSSES and received 1pp when it should have been 2 [:(] Still Nelson has been handed over to the Spanish Inquisition as a witch and is not expected to be proven otherwise. His compatriarts (probably a Howe or something) are on their way to avenge him I am sure.

Murat,

Need more info on this (specifics on battle results) so I can try to duplicate it. Also, did the status box not confirm the political point loss for Nelson being stacked with the fleet? Were you able to confirm that the extra 1PP was not deducted from Britain in the political status display?

Richard

OK to answer the questions:

no AI was not on off, I just stacked all my fleets together off Brest and apparently England underestimated my stack and I got the wind gauge on the 1st battle (no Nelson here - he was in the Channel) which I won and the Dutch valiantly sacrificed for (took normal losses).  I then moved to the channel with my remnants plus the Portuguese (Britain and Spain attacked) and Swedes (Britain attacked them) to get Nelson and the 20 heavies he was leading.  It showed a 10% loss which should have cost me 2 ships but I lost none and he was wiped out. The only PP point change was +1/-1 and it said for Nelson - nothing for the battle.  I have had the obliteration error before (other side wiped out I take no losses) but Nelson's loss seemed to override the PP change that I got from all the other battles.  Nelson languished in a Spanish prison next to Davout (I stacked him with the Portugeuse and they captured him but will not give him back) who accused him daily of being a witch and leaving him to the mercies of the Inquisition. =)

Since that battle Britain fed 1 fleet at a time into the channel until they only had 2 lights remaining in London finally giving me my crossing and the Unconditional with $$$ from trade $$$ from econ and 36 months of peace.  I am playing Hard AI and my monetary gains seemed to include the 20% bonus they get, which is nice becasue these nations seem to rebuild at a blinding pace.
