A suggestion

A little suggestion for some people with resolution problems.
Have you got your monitor manufacturer .ini driver file installed? Not just using the Microsoft plug and play driver. You can usually dl them from the manufacturer website or maybe have it on a CD.
You should also then set your refresh rate to match the monitor specs.
You can do all this in 'Control Panel', 'Display', 'Settings', 'Advanced', 'Monitor'
To update the driver go into properties and click on driver tab (once you've dl'ed it of course)
Hope this helps
