Supply chain problem?

Hi.

I was trying to get to San Petersburg with some prusian guys and I've found what maybe is a bug. I'm trying to deploy a depot 2 areas away from my supply chain source, Konisberg and I get an error "Kovno is not in valid supply chain"
Kovno is 2 areas away from Konisberg but there is a river between them. I have deployed a depot succesfully on the other side of the river.

I'm not sure but i think a river is not enough to break a supply chain, is that correct?

I attach a screenshot with the concrete situation.

Is really difficult to get to San Petersburg on december, but it's impossible to do it that way with some many rivers in front of my Husars

No, the river would not break the chain.

Question: I see that your Prussian corps have already moved, can you tell me what areas they originated from and did you try to place a depot with them before they move from there?

Game hint: Always place your depots first then move.

Yes all of them moved before trying to deploy the depot.

They originated from Riga, I moved 3 corps to Lithuania, Kovno and the area next to Konisberg. I was able to deploy the last one but not the other ones.

The situation may happen often for example if you want to retreat a corp to setup a new depot if your supply chain has been broken.
The game is fantastic so far, I'm stuck on Riga with 48I 8C 8G waiting for my supply chain to assault Kutusov on San Petersburg

I am just getting back into EiA after many years of not playing, but if I remember correctly, you cannot place a depot in an area that you just moved into.  Since you moved all your units, you would place another depot on your next turn behind the river.

Jordi - it’s not your fault:

EiA vets know the score; the step format (not used in EiANW) required that depots be placed first and then the player could move, but new players do not know this unless they read it and unfortunately a small, but very important piece of text describing how EiANW manages depot placement outside of the home nation (specifically concerning this case) is missing from subsection: Supply Chain Restrictions (and that would be my fault).

Here is how it should read (We will be adding this to the addendum):

Section: 10.3.3 Depots In Supply Chains
Subsection: Supply Chain Restrictions

For a major power to place a new depot outside of its own territory, an unbesieged corps of that major power must be in that area and not have moved during the current land phase.
