Winter Quarters
Welcome to Winter Quarters a new EiANW campaign.
Here is the starting players list:
bumpa
cckcdw
Mammou
pakron
Pans
Suvarov928
Tjalfe
And here is the email we kicked off with:
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for signing up and playing.
If you haven’t yet done so, can you please download the EiANW GAP program
http://www.matrixgames.com/games/downloads.asp?gid=285
This is used to generate the bids
Please generate the bids and save the file with a name like this:
cckcdw-WinterQuarters (ie: MatrixForumLogin-GameName)
Then send these files to Mondaman (Richard de la Parra [
rdelaparra@hughes.net] )with a subject line of ‘WinterQuarters Bid – cckcdw’
Mondaman will then do the bid opening and comparison using GAP and send the files back, then the game can start.
Please bear with us since this is probably the first PBeM game any of us have played, so it might take a turn or two to settle things down.
There can’t be that many of us out there in the world playing this so we should all do our best to get along.
Also please remember while this is an electronic board game the most fun is in the diplomatic manoeuvrings, back stabbings and loyally sticking by someone until your advantage is too great to resist. Don’t take anything personally it is just a game.
Options (Format for votes stolen from Murat's post to me for another campaign
Eagle Rising)
my vote +/- (+ = Enable this; - = Disable this)
Winter Land Movement +
Guard Commit +
Allow PBEM Host + (required to have the game)
Allow Option Changes during the game -
Third Party battle resolution -
PBEM-Hotseat - (I do not think we have 2 people on a box)
PBEM passwords +
Econ Manip +
GB/FR War +
Leader Cas -
Priv -
PBEM Quick -
Time before the AI does your move for you: 48 hours.
Majority vote carries all other decisions.
Can everyone put their votes in to me on the options they want (Majority rules on all and I will let Mondaman know for when he sets up the game)
We settled on these options:
Winter Land Movement +
Guard Commit +
Allow PBEM Host +
Allow Option Changes during the game -
Third Party battle resolution -
PBEM-Hotseat -
PBEM passwords +
Econ Manip +
GB/FR War +
Leader Cas -
Priv -
PBEM Quick -
And now we are ready to play.
Mondaman has all the bids, and the options and will be generating the results shortly.
Good Luck to all!
and remember Winter Quarters is much better than being left out in the cold!
Kelvin

I was actually kind of hoping for Prussia, but I eneded up woth Russia first. Which is fine, I have played Russia many time in the boardfame, so I know them better than any other country out there.
