Here's the set up:
SandBox Mode start year 2000
Finances on @ 10%
24 Teams (6x4), 35 Players
DH Both, 5-Man Rotation, Modern Closer Usage
Classic Stadiums

The Players:
Imported Real Players beginning with 1871 (ages adjusted for players who appeared prior to 1871 in the "high-amateur" leagues)
A few quasi-fictional players, real names from black baseball and pre-1871 based on real player import of a similar real player

Entry Draft for the inaugural season and F.A. only thereafter.

The initial player pool consisted of all MLB players 1871-1883, 75 Pitchers from 1884 and about 20 created players, mostly pitchers. The following seasons will import and create from 1884 onward.

Notes from the initial draft:

Pitching was at a premium... there were enough hurlers to round out all rosters but only just enough. A few dozen scrubs had to be selected to round out most pitching rotations.

21 of the 24 first round picks were pitchers:
Guy Hecker, 25yo RHP was selected first overall
