Why did he drop out?  I hope this isn't going to be the cse for a lot of players.

No reason given. But I'm afraid it is an often occurrence in multi-player PBEM games. But the hope of what fun can be had playing people from all around the world in games as great as this keeps us going. [:)]

He got smooshed in the setup phase!

Sad that there are people like this.  Funny thing is, very rarely is ANYONE EVER out of this game.  EiA is designed for countries to win and lose wars, and still be in the running for the win.  I have seen countries beat down so badly, they had nothing left, and still come back and be in the running for a win, and actually win.

I have a feeling we will have lots of people quit when they have to sue for peace for their first time.

Heh, I assumed several people declared on him and his morale broke.  Wouldn't be the first time I gave seen that.
