Very nice. I enjoyed the Origin's shots of miniature Harpoon. I've never seen miniatures played or many board games, but for checkers, chess, and monopoly.

I was reading through the long list of battlesets and scenarios included for Paper Harpoon.
I am curious. Have most those paper missions been converted over for play with Computer Harpoon or the scenarios between these two product lines completely separate?
I also wanted to ask in terms of rule sets and data modeling just how much of the computer games are based on the paper games? Are the paper games treated as the official sources for H3 and HCCE or are three product lines each evolving independently as this point? Have computer computer games offered anything back to the paper product line?
Thanks.

Most of the paper scenarios are very small and imho work better in H3 so not many of the paper scenarios have been converted to HC and I haven't seen a lot of them show up publicly for H3 either.
The HC game is strongly based on the H3 paper ruleset with some tidbits from early H4 paper (most notably sonar). At present H3/ANW has the blessing (and directive of sorts) to use current (and future) paper Harpoon rules. HC on the other hand is not allowed to use anything from the paper rules beyond version 3 so we roll our own models from scratch and try to roughly calibrate them against H4 paper results.
There is hinting of back and forth with the paper rules guys just starting to take shape but nothing significant has gone from computer to paper as yet. At an individual human level it happens, there is good cross-over and bi-directional communication. But when the paper guys set out to create a Harpoon 6, their first thought isn't to ask the computer guys how that ANW sonar model is working.
