OK-Here's the research on VP ratios I promissed in my 2:07:49 of today.

My question is: Is the 30 point decrease in Nagasaki HI points explained by the 234 pt increase in strategic loss points in ONE DAY?

The further question is: Were those 30 HI points actually destroyed? If so, does the 234 pt. increase in strategic loss account for it?

Please remember, my objective is to end the war in '44(no atomics). I need a 3:1 ratio to do it. Can strategic bombing( as played in this game) produce the results I'm looking for?

I leave it to wiser, if not older (I'm 75) heads to explain.

Destroying 30 HI should net you 600 victory points (=strategic loss points), or a bit less (if you destroy an already damaged HI point you only get 18 points per HI).

Take a look at Speedy's AAR, he scored lots of points with strategic bombing and should be able to answer all your questions:
