Depot limit 3

In EiANW it appears to be impossible to place a depot more than 3 depots out along a supply chain.
This was not the case in the board game -- it's possible to place a depot chain of any length, however only corps that are within 3 depots of the home country can be reinforced with militia, and only 6 depots for infantry.
Once again this seems to make it very difficult for France and Russia to attack each other.

Yes but apparently in EIANW you can draw re-enforcements into your corps from ANY conquered territory not the home nation- so you dont need a line all the way to France to re-enforce a french corps in Russia. For example I have magdeburg as my suplly source and I can still throw factors in the re-enforcement phase into French corps in Poland at the end of that chain. Indeed, Bavaria can do the same thing w/o a supply source in Bavaria - etc.

depends on where your trying to place it. i've invaded russia quite well, as austria no less, with depot supply, it just takes some careful placement and forethought to do.
in looking back over my past board games, it appears we were quite fast and loose with some of out interpretations of the rules, whereas the computer game is a bit more stringent in that area.

I didnt seem to have any problems as Turkey to trace supply from northern Italy through France (vol acc) and in to Spain.

How many depots in your supply chain?

From Milan to Valencia (Milan, Lyon, Toulouse, Area44, Valencia) but rather quickly changed to sea supply due to needing my depots elsewhere, it is however possible that Valencia already counted as sea supply at the time of me removing the french depots. I guess its impossible to say now as the game is finnished.

lublin to brest litvosk, to kovno, to riga, to area268, to novgorod, and then two areas to st. pete.
againt a human player, or better ai, it would have been a lot more difficult to pull off.

You should be able to go DEEP! Can you post the game where you are seeing this?

I suspect an error in counting. I've been 7 depots out (as France), and was able to collect guard and artillery at the end of it.
Of course, the time I was invading Spain, I kind of forgot about the guerillas, but that's a different problem.

I traced Supply as Spain from Syria to Constantinople and sacked Turkey. I believe all five of my Spanish Depots were in that chain. As far as reinforcements go, you can be clever with that....[:)]

The game I was seeing this problem is the same one I posted here:
tm.asp?m=1649314
There are 3 Russian depots extending out from Brest-Litovsk. Any attempt to place a fourth one at the end of the chain results in a "depot is not in a valid supply chain" error message.
