Bug with Ship Reinforcement

Actually this may affect quite a few things.

Here is the scenario:
As Spain I am building ships in Napels, Portugal (Lisbon), and Venetia. I have bought the Venetian fleet counter (20 Heavy). My first Venetian ship comes up also one in Napels and Lisbon. I double click the fleet in Lisbon and place it's ship. I double click the one in Napels and place it's ship. Then I click on Venice. I am looking at the Venice Selected Area Info My Free State Statussays Venetia. I click the corps counter box and select the I Venetia H>0/20 fleet marker. I left click the corps screen to get it to close then right click the venice port area to place my fleet counter and BAM my fleet counter appears in Napels. 3 months later I purchase the counter again (thank goodness I did not loose my Ship of the Line) and this time I place the fleet counter first and have no issues.

It seems like no Unit Counter will loose focus until you left click an empty area after having selected it. They are just sticky somehow.

Anyway hope you can fixe this down the road. Sorry if it has been reported already.

Sounds like you didn't disconnect off the Naples province and click on the Venice province before trying to place the fleet counter; had that happen to me, [except Sweden/Denmark in my case]once I triple checked to make sure the previous province was was no longer selected and then selected the new province before placing, it worked.

Yes, I agree with that assesment but Venetia was outlined in Red like it had focus. Possibly there is nothing to be done with this but it looks like a focus issue. I just wanted to bring it up as it is a nuseince [:)].

I may try to disconnect you from your current selected unit after reinforcing the unit. Comments?

That would be a good idea. If people want to select the unit again they reclick but frequently once I have adjusted the factors I am done with that unit.

I've accidentally removed quite a few depots with something similar. I click on a depot, then click on a province 2 away, then click on the add/remove depot button trying to place a depot in the newly selected province. Unfortunately I remove the old depot, presumably because it was still selected.

I think that, in general, whenever the user clicks on a province, you should check the selected unit, and clear the selected unit if it isn't in the newly selected province.

Not sure how this would interact with left clicking to move units, though it should be ok iff you can make the check after you've moved the unit in.

I'll be playing around with this stuff over the next few days to see what might help...

Thanks for Looking at it Marshall. In general it is not a high priority but I think the overall game would benefit if this was able to be corrected.

I (and I think most everyone else) am still in awe of your wonderful adaptation of the Game. [:)] Great Job!
