Can the game be altered / optioned to remove the English channel crossing arrow?

Almost nobody I know in FTF or PBEM EiA uses this option, but it appears to be hard coded in EiANW.

I agree. This should be an optional rule. My FTF group has never used it either. Its simply way to easy to cross the channel, in either direction.
