Ive been thinking, could u split up your downloads (a la freeloader.com) into manageable chunks so us standard modem users can download them (I am thinking of SPWAW here) I worked it out and it would take me 2 - 3 days to download the full version from scatch! Please help me!

Most people use a download manager like Get right or Gozilla, to download as much as they want, and then resume it later, that lets you chose the chunks you want to download it in.

There is also a download manager from the same folks who made RealPlayer. They call it RealDownload, and can be had from their website,
http://www.real.com. It has a nag screen that requires two mouse clicks to clear, but unlike GetRight, RealDownload has yet to crash on me. GetRight crashed a lot on my machine.

Neil if you live in the UK then watch out for the January edition of PC Strategy Games. They said in their December issue that they hoped to include a copy of SP:WAW in their next edition? Assuming this will still happen then the magazine should be on sale shortly.
I downloaded PacificWar yesterday using Gozilla (7.2MB) and it came down a treat first time. If you are going to download I think you have to do it before America wakes up!

just want to comment
I once rejoiced hearing how Steel Panthers would appear in PC Gamer
I wont say what I would like to say about PC Gamer
but after paying 11 bucks for a magazine with boring articles I got 2 cds that were completely inoperative
communication by email with PC Gamer
well it also inspires me to say words no one wants to hear
if you yourself cant download it via your own computer I say seek a friend who can
the only bright way to get Steel Panthers is through Matrix games then do like I do
have a friend burn it onto a cd for ya
