This is a copy of a post I made under thread relating to the PWHEX. I am posting it again here for more exposure to my thoughts.

To whom it may concern and for what its worth. It is this type of work and detication to this game that commands the respect of our fellow WITP gamers. It is why at times I get upset at some of the petty posts attacking Sid and his ideas/comments. I definately think it is a personality issue because I can't imagine anyone thinking Sid doesn't know what he is talking about. Over and over he has brought new concepts to us. Some of the ideas belonged to others, but, in his love for the game he pursues them with a passion. No I don't think he is always right (albeit I am definately not one who is quaified to say so), but even when and if he is wrong he continues to contribute to this game to the benefit our hobby.

P.S. Please forgive my spelling, I am on my wife's computer that doesn't have spell check. How did Forest Gump put it "I am not a smart man".

Witp is like a box of chocolates. You never know what your going to get. But seriously praise where praise is due. Sid has done more than I am capable of. Enough said.

Unfortunately Sid drew a LOT of flak from some of the "plank-owners", maybe because upon his arrival to the forum, he started espousing his beliefs about how HE might be able to enter the guts of the game and change a lot more than just the OOB's.
This was apparerenly heresy to some.
I appreciate Sids' open-mindedness and being able to think outside the box.
Sid is a curmudgeon and is not a people person, but like Ahab, he is self0driven and with motive and purpose.
Obstacles do not exist until he has found them, for certain.
I (and others) have publicly disagreed with him on some issues, but whenever he has been in error, he has corrected those errors publicly.
I don't have the guts for that kind of persistence, at the expense of open ridicule.

I sincerely appreciate the efforts of all modders, each moving in their own direction for variable game play possibilities.[&o]

Well said, he has tirelessly worked to make WitP a better game. I appreciate that he is willing to try out new ideas, both his and from the forum. (Aren’t we on RHS Version 7.788473935 [:D] )
Thanks El Cid!

I agree with all of the points above. This is a great forum, with many talented and well educated members. There is enough interaction in it that people's faults and idiosyncrasies become apparent.

One thing that I do find continually disappointing is the negative tone that some members take toward each other. To me it just lowers the quality of the discussion.

I would suggest, if someone writes something that angers you, find a way to vent your frustration in the privacy of your own home. Then when you have calmed down, if you feel you must respond in writing, do so in a thoughtful and civil manner.

As to the need that some posters have to point out when they think another member is 'full of it'. Please give me the credit to be able to determine for myself who has rational and fact based arguments and who is talking rubbish.

These opinions are, of course, my own. You may choose to agree or disagree.

Mr. Beach, Gentlemen,

I must agree and would like to express my sincere graditude to Sid and the RHS team for all that they have done to enhance WITP. Sid has graciously answered my questions and provided missing game files as needed; it did not take long for me to realize that he would rather be working on a challenging project than asleep. I, as do all on the forum love this game; but (for me) it was not until I came across CHS and then, ultimately, RHS that I was bitten badly - now I cannot get enough.
As mentioned in another post, the level of creativity and originality involved with the differing variants of WITP is absolutely amazing. Sid, I look forward to further updates for RHS and I know, that with the release of the Admiral's Edition, you will continuine your persuit of excellence.

Now Gents, as a School Bus driver with a 13 day Christmas break, I shall now return to my current game of WITP! Life is good...
