Another Noob Question

This is something I've been wondering about for a while. Is there any reason not to set all your production to go to your supreme HQ and then just ship it to where its needed from there? It seems the easyiest way to managae everything to me.

Also, is there a way to get a list of everything and how much is being produced from all your cities? I see the list at the begining of my turn, but can't find that list during my turn.

Thanks,

John

especially in larger games you wont have often have enough landcap to ship everything from supreme HQ. Even if you did you might have a section cutoff that could otherwise supply itself, also island in the more random type games, etc. There are lots of reasons not to do this its also not the best use of production to make enough trucks just for this purpose. I prefer to use excess landcap for strategic transfers instead.

Sounds like the "production overview" is what your looking for. its a button at the bottom of the screen if you select any single towns production queue.

There are times when you should consider shipping directly to your forward HQ's instead of your supreme HQ.
-If your supplies are being shipped a long distance from your supreme HQ, you can lose some of them. It's base on the number of action points needed to get them there...If if exceeds a certain amount you start to suffer losses. In this case you may want to ship supplies directly to the frontline HQ from a nearby production city.
-Also if you ship replacements directly to your frontline HQ's. when units under that HQ's command need replacements there will not be a huge loss in readiness. You suffer this penalty when sub formations change HQ's...So if the replacement are coming from your supreme HQ instead of there own HQ they will suffer a huge loss in readiness.
