What speed do you guys play this thing? Trying to find the right speed but still be able to keep up with whats happening in the game. Including the pop up asking what the commander wants to do- the faster I set the time the faster the pop up, pops up.[X(]
Great game. Very addidictive! Can't seem to stop playing it between my pbem games.[8|]

Honestly, it all depends on the situation. If I am at a place with a lot going on that needs my near constant attention, I got at 1:1 time compression. If there are two or three things I tend to bump it to 5:1 or 10:1 time compression. In those long stretches between combat where you are trying to find enemy units and don't have a lot of air assets engaged, going up to the 5, 10 or 30 minutes/sec time compression helps the long areas go faster.
Basically it just comes down to finding the time compression level you are comfortable with in the situation. Nice thing about harpoon is when you do get any new contacts, the staff assistant gives you the opportunity to go immediately back to 1:1 time compression, so you don't have to worry about doing it manually.

Agreed Akula, I think it depends in large part upon the particular scenario in play. In a few of the scenarios (WWIII by Fred Galano, Backyard in WestPac,...) I've found myself overwhelmed at times even at 1:1. Thankfully that only comes in fits and spurts, in the meaty part of most scenarios I'll be at either 5s:1 or 10s:1, in the lulls much higher time compression.
Some people manage to play really fast, I still don't understand how that is possible. [&:]
