Combat Design Bug

Jimmer & I are running a test pbem game.
I am France; He is Spain; all others are AI.
Several of my core are attacked by AUSTRIA (AI) during his (Jimmer/Spain)'s turn
Those core cannot move because the combat has not been resolved &
won't be until MY land combat phase. This deprives me of the movement &
use of my core during MY movement phase even tho the combat SHOULD
have allready occured (during the "AUSTRIAN" land combat phase).
(Note the limit on movement of the core I indicate on the .jpg)
As a recommended solution; I would suggest putting in second (pre-move)
combat "cleanup" phase that would only apply to "leftover" battles that
need to be resolved.

Why is austria attacking during spains (jimmers) phase? Are the corps borrowed to spain?
Have you exchanged combat files?
There is a known bug with resolving multiple battles against AI-players in a PBEM game where you can bypass the combat phase without resolving the battles and it corrupts the game.

Austria was AI; Jim was running Spain & Austria ran on his turn ...
He sent battle files; but I didn't load them until he had finished...
Then I loaded ALL of the TURN files ....
This sounds like its the bug you are referring to - Its already been reported then.
(I must have missed the entry - Thanks)

I'm actually not sure...
I havent done this myself, but I think you need to load the combat files set your orders and send them back to him and it is possible that one battle needs to be fully resolved before you can move to the next one and that all combats need to be resolved before he can finnish.
The game is supposed to pause and prompt for input before it moves on and the reported bug I know of has to do with that the game dont stop but lets you continue past "the point of no return" wich makes the combats unresolvable. It is not fully clear to me what has happend in your game but I hope this might help you figure out what has happend and if it is this reported bug that has affected your game.

This is exactly what happened. I tried to resolve ALL of the combats at once (I thought
that the AI would just run on my system & didn't need to be exchanged.).

We have fixed an issue that will prevent you from resolving battles at the same time. This will force you to complete a battle then on to the next battle. The engine becomes confused when the method of "Select chit for battle A then send file AND select chit for battle B then send file". The design should be resolve battle A then reoslve battle B. I think this is what you're seeing and it is addressed in the 1.01 patch.

gwheelock,
I have a small request: Could you please use the proper word "Corps" instead of "CORE"?
The Gamer in me cringes everytime I see your use of 'core' and I get stomach pains.....
With respect,
