PP vs Manpower Question

Commander – Europe at War Gold is the first in a series of high level turn based strategy games. The first game spans WW2, allowing players to control the axis or allied forces through the entire war in the European Theatre.

PP vs Manpower Question

Post by emcgman »

I just got the game yesterday. I started a 1939 playing the Allies. The game is totally cool, just what I was looking for; lots of hexes for op combat with a nice production/research integration.

My question: It seems there's plenty of manpower, but hardly any PP. Does this change later on? Because I don't understand why you would need all that manpower, when there is not enough PP to purchase many units with.

Thanks

As you conquer more and more countries, you incorporate their production into your economy. As Germany, you will indeed eventually have between 150-200 PPs to play with, but you will almost certainly be scraping the bottom of the manpower bucket by the end of 1943 as well. This is actually a nicely balanced game in that respect.
