Help please...
Replaced my old machine (XP) with a Vista machine. (Dell Inspiron 1501 Vista Home Basic)
The game loaded and ran fine on the old machine, it was just like old times with an old friend, really enjoyed it.
Got this new machine and tried to load the game into it and the disk just spins in the drive, I have let it go for quite a while with no visible activity.
If any-one can help me with getting this game onto my computer I would be very grateful,
thanks

I don't have Vista. With XP I would double click My Computer, double click the drive that the CD is in, and see if it will let you copy the file from the disc to your computer.

Unfortunately, the original Talonsoft version will not run on a Vista machine.
You will be able to install it, assuming the CD is still working, and patch it, but none of your armour units will be able to fire.
The Matrix version, of course, works fine. Following junk2drives suggestion might be best.
Other than that, ensure the drivers are current for your DVD/CD-ROM.

I have no issues in Vista, but I do not have the CD version.
Did it Install, or is that the issue it will not read the disk?
If its having issues with the disk, I would see if you could copy it over to the Harddrive, and try the install that way.
Also the Vista will ask you many times if its ok to run this, open that, if one of those windows is up in the background nothing will happen.
Until you answer that window.
Good Luck

From a cold boot, no other applications running, I can put the MATRIX Tiller campaign series CD in my drive bay, listen to the drive start spinning as it reads the CD and wait, and wait, and wait....because nothing else happens.
I can go to my computer, open the cd drive window, see two files, click one which activates the other to spin the drive, or click the other to spin the drive, thats all that happens.
From Matrix I bought the download and CD (anticipating the purchase of the new computer) so the original install to the XP computer was off the website. Now I can't get anything going with the Vista OS.

Did you happen to register the Download version? You might be able to download the download version again?

Thanks for the reply Jason,
I don't remember if I did the registration or not, is there a way I can check this at the Matrix site?

You would have registered it in the MEMBERS area, accessed two menu items right from where you access the FORUMS.
