I have a group of 36 Oscars with 39 pilots, upgraded from Nates. When 10 of them were operational, I transfered them to another base, without actualy splitting the squadron, just moved the ones that could fly. So, now I have original squadron with 10 a/c and 10 pilots that was moved and splinter squadron/2 that was left behind with 26 damaged planes and 29 pilots and squadron.

Few turns later, I noticed that the splinter is down to 16 planes and 29 pilots, 10 planes minus.Next turn, I'm down to 8 planes and 26 pilots. I'm afraid that they'll melt away in the next few turns. [:D]

Any way of remeding this?

Got no clue right now - iirc - similar things have been investigated and it is on the "to fix" list.

What's happening to the parent unit???

I had similar issue...
Number of planes in group which is left behind decreases constantly.
But the planes seem to go into pool rather than disappear.[:'(]

i also had a similar experience - SOME (but not all) of the planes went back to the pool, but many vanished.

Well, the good news is that pilots  appeard in parent unit, but the planes didn't. I didn't payed attention to the pool, but it is possible that they went there.

It's a known issue that when you transfer a group and damaged planes get left behind planes start disappearing from the portion left behind. I have it so bad it has effectively shut our PBEM down while we wait for a patch to fix it.
