I applied the g patch this afternoon and now I get "Unexpected error" when I try to run the game. It now won't run at all. I should have stuck with f, it was working OK.

OK, I was able to get back to where I needed to be by reinstalling from old downloads. I reinstalled 1.70, 1.70b and then applying the 1.70f patch.

Before doing this I tried reinstalling and using the method outlined on the page for 1.70 to b to g and it still didn't work. I'm OK now as long as I stick with 1.70f.

Are you on Vista? If so, be sure to run puresim as administrator.

I am running as administrator. It's very odd. When I install 1.70, 1.70b and then 1.70g I get the error. When I do 1.70, 1.70b and 1.70f I don't. And when I go 1.70, 1.70b, 1.70f and then 1.70g I get the error.

I've done it multiple times now and it is repeatable. I'm back on 1.70f now and I'm fine with that (as opposed to the option of not having it work).

Really strange, because I run 1.70g on Vista. In fact the game is developed on a Vista machine.

I'll keep looking. Maybe the next patch I release a nice, full install.

No problem, I'm running fine with 1.70f.

Where do you get the old patches? I don't see them.
