(background -- Nov. 1805, Austria conquers Corsica. In 1807, (AI) Austria unconditionally surrenders -- demanding Charles be exiled. Austria lands in the Fiasco Zone and that triggers Charles' triumphant return to... Corsica (*). Early on they still had two ships (they lost the Venetian fleet in a war with somebody, but they had their own) but my Turks naturally smash that fleet.
Oh, and Austrian reinforcements apparently should be placed with their best leader...
(*) Think there were three Austrian corps there. Might want to double-check that there's no way the 1.01-beta B patch could have repatriated troops onto an island with no crossing arrows to the mainland.

Napoleon's gracious Corsican hospitality towards the Austrians perhaps? Warm waters, sunny beaches, etc. [:)]

This happens in the standard Russian AI setup. If you defeat the northern forces, the reinforcements go to Alexander and stay there, because you can't get anywhere else from Stavropol.

Hey guys:
We did have repatraiting problems in 1.00 - 1.01b and I'm adding a temp access (3 month) variable in place after a surrender to allow troops time to leave on their own. You should see this in 1.02

The other option, Marshall, would be to have the owner pick. Find all possible locations using your current code. But, then, instead of randomly choosing one (or, using an algorithm), simply highlight all of the (maybe with a green border), and ask the owner to pick one. You might have to do this twice, once for land factors and once for naval.

In the board game, when you're in Fiasco, you lose all your minors (free state or conquered, even if you havce corps inside their borders). So part of the problem won't have happened.
Don't know if EiH or computer version change that rule.

And how are the Austrians supposed to get off Corsica then?
