Screenshots from a game between Baylor and Syracuse:
1) Unbalanced line- Note TE2. He is actually the #3 TE on the depth chart. I have given him an OT's number and the attributes of an OL.
2) The start of an off tackle play at the goaline from the straight T
formation.
3) LHB #44 kicks out the DE coming across the LOS.
4) TE #80 about to block the CB and FB #39 walls off the LB.
5) Goaline play seen from behind the defense.
6) RB running it into the endzone.
7) The ball is loose. FB, #39 (he's on the ground) coughed it up.
8) # 11 appears to have a receiver open. Unfortunately, he threw
inaccurately and it was intercepted.
9) Scoring the winning TD.

Looks great, coach - please keep posting your pics and results on these classic matchups.  That #44 on the Cuse looks like he's gonna be something special... [;)]

#44 is supposed to be Floyd Little and 39 is Larry Csonka.

Old coach, I think what you have is something i would like to have. You have great variety in your plays and outcomes, teams, uni's. How did all this come about? I mean you must have put tons of hours building and tweaking everything. Great job

Old Coach has tweaked his constants and playbooks to reflect the era of the game he wants Maximum Football to simulate.
 
That is one thing that is great about the game: it can reflect different rules and playstyles.

I wish we could have multiple constants, which we could pick between when we launch the game,.... that way we could use the stuff old coach has done, and still be able to play the standard game without constant changes. 

It would be nice to have one constants file linked to each league.
 
That would allow a 8 man outdoor league to have constants different from an 11 man outdoor league.
 
If that can't be done, having a constants file for each field type would be a second choice.

I've been working as a MaxFB tester since spring of 2003. At first it was just me, Ed Early, maybe one other and David doing all the testing. Of course, at that time the game was much simpler in its scope and concept. I have spent a lot of time on uniforms, playbooks, etc. I was an FBPRO 98 player and I use a lot of the same ideas from FBPRO about player ratings in MaxFB. As to play design, I call on my experience as a high school football coach and my library of Tennessee game films. I have films that span from 1928 on up to present day. One of my favorite films is the 1946 Tennessee-Alabama game. (It's a color film and the color quality is surprisingly good.) In the film, Alabama runs the Notre Dame box formation and Tennessee runs the classic single wing. They both use the 6-2 defense. MaxFB's PDS allows me to recreate those offenses & defenses very closely.

As to adjusting the constants, the only thing I have done in that regard since version 2.0 was released is I changed the placekicking accuracy value from 30 to 31.
