Finished Lost Victories

Post by Steve Petersen »

Achieved a draw for the campaign, 182 points.

All troop settings 100%, no CC, limited ammo, vehicle breakdown on, rarity on.

Do I suck or is this OK?

Would be interesting to know the decision tree on these modules.

Well done!

You could be the only player to ever achieve this [:D]
They struggled with a ferocity that was to be expected of brave men fighting with forlorn hope against an enemy who had the advantage of position......knowing that courage was the one thing that would save them.

Just curious. Where did you end up? At Sevastopol or on the Donetz River. Did you capture Kharkov?

Thank you. It has been a while since I have had the time. Lot of new names and many of the old, I see. One of these days I will update my old scenarios & release the ones I never put out. Most of them are from v7

I wander away and come back. The older I get the tougher it is to play something new.

Look forward to seeing something from you.

Still up at this hour. The game goes on. I'm probably so rusty now a beginner could do better. That is why I haven't looked at it for a while that plus I had to make a choice, Matrix or my Marriage.

I haven't got the mega campaigns. But I guess, if I were Germany, I would get my heaviest armor in the front lines, followed last by my lightest troops. I would follow my heavy tanks with infantry support tanks, which destroy infantry, and then in the end I would use my light infantry. Has a tiger ever been destroyed in battle? I hear they were impervious to anti tank ammunition, or to any ammunition. Perhaps, close support aircraft like the IL-2 could destroy Tigers. Perhaps, not perhaps, but surely. It sure is surprising, how any undertaking under Stalin could produce the IL-2, or the T-34. How were the T-34's used by the Red Army? I have never heard of any heavy Joseph Stalin Tanks engaged in any major armored engagement. I understand, that they were not hard to destroy. How did the Soviets, in the 1940's make medium tanks and close support aircraft, that were better made than their German counterparts? The German machinery and mechanics were marvels, but very poor concepts, as war machines. They were poorly designed.
