Go on, don't be shy. Describe the last situation that you used iron bombs!?


(I'd love to set the ball rolling, but I haven't dropped any yet...)

I last used them in WestPac 7.0 (Thanh Hoa Bridge) when using the B-52s to put potholes in the river, and maybe hit the bridge in the process.

I sunk a Roosevelt class with 48 Flankers. I lost a few getting there, but fired over 600 bombs at it.

I also used it for the Thanh Hoa Bridge, had a VERY large flight of birds, at least (1) hit

Operation Island Wind: Tested it using Iron Bombs to see if it could be won that way. Surprising result ensued. [:D]

I also tend to use iron bomb loadouts anytime I want to attack an AI airfield, get the double punch of facility and runway damage.

The last time I used an Iron Bomb attack was when I was trying to get rid of my aircraft! [X(]

I was gonna make a ferry mission, once, to another base but it was close enough to just load up with dumb bombs & send them over anyway.

I figured I'd knock the dirt off them. [:'(]
