No, electricity. Which might in extreme circumstances be generated from Apples, but more usually is from a fossil fuel, or nuclear energy [:D]

, as noted by the other two, HCE does not run on Apples, natively anyway. I would guess that on an Intel Mac with X11 installed and spending some time with WINE would get it running, but that's quite a project for most non-UNIXy people. I could also give the dreaded, "You can use Parallels and run HCE in Windows on that Mac", or if you don't have an Intel Mac, Virtual PC. All those solutions can work, HCE doesn't use DirectX so you don't face any of those problems.
