A good day

Update on the health front. Still light headed, but... I've been to every doctor in the world over the last month, and even was told they were looking for tumors in my head/ear canal. So, this week I had an MRI of the head which lasted almost 2 hours in a claustrophobic tube!
Then I had to wait a few days... Finally wen to the doc today and they tell me that independent of my symptoms I am healthy as a horse! Brain MRI was perfect and they even have my bp down to 130/80 (7 days of meds -- that is amazing).
Unfortunately I am still light headed / dizzy, but the docs say it is likely some sort of inner ear issue or something called Menaire's Disease. It also could be alergies and a bunch of other stuff. Bottom line, while the symptoms persisit, it is not something I need to worry about when it comes to the "bad" stuff!
Today was a wonderful day! I can't put into words how worried I have been for the last 6 weeks. I hope the dizziness goes away, but I am so happy it's not something terrible.
I am going to take a little vacation this weekend with my wife and hopefully get back to PureSim code, which I have not even touched for 5 weeks.
What a relief.
Shaun

Great news, Shaun. My mother suffered from Meuniere's disease & it was controlled with some medication. It is certainly not life-threatening & never really inhibited her once it was diagnosed & she got the medication. So... keep taking the tablets! [:D]

They tried to put me in one of those tubes once. I couldn't handle it. I'd rather die. BTW, I refuse to be buried in a box -- burning is for me!
Glad to hear the good news!

Great news!!!
You enjoy that family of yours. And don't rush back to fast to PS writing. Remember, you have already given us a great game to play. We are willing to wait a little longer for the next version. Take care of you and yours first.
Steve

Now that you're somewhat back in action, do you have a Clemens hat from the 1980's? I can't believe no one has come up with one for him to try on. As a twist on the famous Johnny Cochran line from the O.J. trial:
"If the hat don't fit, he took that s _ _ t!"

Glad to hear you are well and the anxiety of not knowing has past.
To quote my wife "Any day you wake up is a good day."
Of course, I usually get that chestnut after complaining about my runny nose. [:)]
Be well.

Shaun -
Three chears for healthy horses! I think we are all very relieved.
Whatever it is you've got reminds me a lot of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (a.k.a. Yuppi flu) back in the 1980's. Your symptoms are not exactly the same as CFS. But the inability of your doctors to put their finger on whetever it is that's ailing you reminds me a lot of what I remember reading then about the doctors being totally unable to figure out what was happening to all their patients.
I hope that you are able to return to 100% health very soon.

Shaun, had the same thing a couple of years ago. Was an innerear virus. Pretty wiered walking around at a 4th of July concert falling into people. they probably thought I was drunk. Russ

Glad to hear the tests came back good. It will really help the BP just to eliminate that worry of "what's wrong?". Take it easy, enjoy the family and ease back in as you see fit.
