A USA dive bomber pilot describes his experience in WW2.
Operating off of Munda he was shot down in his first mission over Buganville. Spent a week hiding from the Japanese but was captured. He was later shipped by night to Rabaul and ended up spending almost 2 years there.
He describes all his experiences here.
