problem with expansion

Here's the story.

I finished my 1st season in a sandbox league and it made an automatic back-up.
I go to the step where you can expand your league. I had 20 teams i was going to 24 teams. I clicked on the expanded team to enter it's region and it kept clicking back to some city in north carolina. I would enter williamstown, and it would change to north carolina, I would enter mullica hill, and it would change to north carolina. You get the point. Finally i decided to move on and i would just change it later. As soon as i clicked continue my computer froze. I had to restart the game, and when i did I was back at the expastion step. I tried to do it again but it said I was already expanded up to 24 teams, so i clicked cancel and now I can't play any games, or look at the schedule or anything. I keep getting runtime errors. Is there a way to load my backup file, because that was made before i got myself in to this mess

You should be able to rename your backup file and use it:

(1) Make a copy of your psa file, just in case you need it later.
(2) Look in that same folder for a file named (your assn).psa.backup
(3) Remove the .backup from the file name and re-name it anything you want. If you leave it the same name, you will "write over" your original psa file.
(4) The next time you load the game, choose the assn you have just named.

It doesn't have backup in the name, it's a backup file.  Changing the name doen't do anything, unless you can change the type of file it is.  I don't know how to do that.

This may be a job for Shaun. Unless you have a file with the extension .psa.backup, you may be stuck.

Expansion is a tricky thing sometimes. Although this doesn't help for the moment, you may want to make a copy of that .psa file next time, right at season's end, at least until you get more comfortable with the expansion process.

I suspect Shaun will look at these posts on Monday and may have a suggestion for you. He normally takes a peek at things early (6-7 AM EST), so you may want to check back here after that. Sorry I wasn't able to help.

I got it.  All I had to do is hit CTRL-F10 and I can load the backup file.  Nothing beats geting frustrated and mashing keys until something happens
