BOB2 Start issue

I downloaded BOB2 and everything went fine with the download (no stoppages, etc). I have the icon on my desktop and clikc on it and it brings up the Matrix screen with choices like Play, Read Manual, Forums, etc. I can click on all the links and they work except for the Play link. Can anyone shed some light on this and how I can get it to work?

Thanks

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Not sure I can shed any light on it but I can ask the basic tech support questions…

Try running the quick start from the Start Menu/Programs/Battle of Britain II Wings of Victory and see if that works

As for the Game Menu, not sure why it’s not working but the questions below might help me narrow it down.

What OS are you using and where was the game installed to?
What type of Anti-Virus software are you running? Sometimes and I’ve had it happen with my home laptop the Anit-Virus programs get a little too protective and mess with the Game Menu an not allow it to run any executables

Guys,

There is something wrong within my computer with this game only. I got my boxed version in the mail and tried to download that on to my computer. When attempting to run the quick start version I get a d3dx9_31.dll is missing error. After downloading this driver from the internet I tried to do it all over again to no avail.

I have other games that have not had this problem and they still run correctly on this same computer. Can you give me any insight????

Thanks,
Pete

OS is Windows XP.

I turned anti virus off and on and tried downloads both ways, and from both disk and digital download. Neither seems to be working. My anti virus is McAfee. I have had this same setup for other downloads with no problems.

I did try to do both a quick start and regular start from the two menus. Quick start gives me the error above, regular start does not execute when I hit the "Play".

BTW, War in the Pacific, Crown of Glory, War Plan Orange, Napoleon in Italy, and both John Tiller Battleground series work fine.....

Pete
