Just got a new pc and am trying to download the full 1.7 but the link appears to be broken. After a new window pops up I try and download the file, but get a 404 message.

I just received a new work PC and when I went to download and install Puresim, BAM! There it is!

I just went back and checked and its working for me now too. Maybe the host was having maintenence done or something when I was trying. But I am back up and running now.

I got a new PC too and downloaded the game again. i try to install the two patches that are described in this thread

however, when i click on the link for the two patches the dialog box that appears the option to save the file is ghosted out. what's up with this? thanks for any help.

The prompt comes up to "Save file" for me !

What browser are you using ??

have you checked your download settings ??

i'm using firefox. it's still not allowing me to save it. this is really weird. the settings look fine to me. what could i be missing?

Try this :

In Firefox go to Tools, Options
On the Main tab in the downloads section make sure it has a tick by "Always ask where to save files"  hit ok close then open FF and try again !

ok, i did that and it allowed me save and download the files. i installed them and saved it the puresim baseball folder. i tried starting the game again and i got the same message that i've been getting after clicking to play the game - unexpected error ; quitting. this is driving me nuts!

ok, i figured it out!!! i right clicked on the pursim icon, went to compatability and chose run as administrator. that did the trick.
